Pointerra US Roadshow 2025: Engaging with Industry Leaders on Today’s Biggest Challenges

The Pointerra US team has been on the road, connecting with industry leaders, customers, and innovators across utilities, transportation, geospatial, and drone technology. Over the past few months, our platform has been showcased at some of the most important events across North America that are shaping infrastructure, asset management, and digital transformation. Here’s a quick recap of where we’ve been and the conversations we’ve been part of.
Geo Week, February 10-12, 2025 (CO)
At Geo Week 2025 in Denver, Pointerra3D connected with geospatial, AEC, utility, and infrastructure professionals looking to streamline how they manage and use 3D data. A highlight of the event was our exhibitor-hall presentation, Simplifying Geospatial Workflows, where we demonstrated how Pointerra3D consolidates processing, management, visualization, and analytics into a single cloud-native platform.
Attendees saw firsthand how massive lidar and imagery datasets can be instantly accessible in the browser — eliminating traditional desktop bottlenecks and reducing multi-tool complexity. The strong engagement and feedback reaffirmed a clear industry need: a unified environment that accelerates geospatial workflows and turns reality capture into operational insight.

DistribuTECH Midwest, July 14-16, 2025 (MN)
At DistribuTECH Midwest, the premier transmission and distribution conference, we engaged with utilities and technology providers exploring the next generation of grid modernization. The team attended with a booth to showcase how our proven platform for integrating lidar and reality data into everyday decision-making, helping utilities improve reliability, resilience, and safety while reducing costs.
Attendees were impressed by the speed, accuracy, and scalability of our tools, seeing firsthand how Pointerra3D eliminates data bottlenecks and delivers actionable insights faster than ever before.
SASHTO, July 31-August 6, 2025 (KY)
At the Southeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (SASHTO) conference, our conversations centered on the future of transportation infrastructure. In speaking with state DOTs and large A&E firms, a common theme emerged — many are grappling with similar challenges: disconnected, expensive software packages that lead to inefficiencies and unnecessary costs. Pointerra’s platform directly addresses these issues, offering a unified environment for managing lidar and digital twin data that improves collaboration, streamlines workflows, and reduces overhead. Our work with departments of transportation around the world continues to demonstrate how an integrated, cloud-based solution can transform road safety inspections, asset management, and capital works planning.
Trees & Utilities Conference, September 9-11, 2025 (TN)
Vegetation management is critical for utility reliability, and at the UAA Trees & Utilities conference we joined conversations about innovation in this space. Attendees saw firsthand how Pointerra3D enables proactive vegetation risk assessment, integrating drone and lidar data to create actionable insights that support safer, smarter, and more sustainable utility networks.

UAV Commercial Drone Expo, September 10, 2025 (NV)
At the UAV Commercial Drone Expo in Las Vegas, our focus was clear: helping drone operators make every flight count. Across conversations with UAV service providers, survey teams, and data acquisition specialists, we heard a consistent message — collecting high-quality data is only half the battle. The real challenge is turning that data into fast, reliable, and repeatable insights without being bogged down by complex desktop workflows or fragmented software.
Pointerra3D showcased how operators can unlock more value from every mission by instantly visualizing, processing, and sharing lidar and imagery in the cloud. With tools that eliminate rework, streamline QA/QC, and deliver actionable outputs to clients in minutes, we demonstrated how drone teams can strengthen their service offering, differentiate in a competitive market, and ensure that every flight delivers measurable impact.
IHEEP Conference, October 5-9, 2025 (SC)
IHEEP in South Carolina was a great opportunity to connect with DOT leaders on the challenges of navigating growing data volumes, aging workflows, and an urgent need to modernize how transportation networks are assessed, managed, and maintained.
Our team showcased how cloud-based digital twins can close these gaps by consolidating massive lidar, imagery, and reality-capture datasets into one accessible platform. We also shared practical examples from Main Roads Western Australia, illustrating how large-scale lidar programs and digital twins are already transforming road safety, asset management, and network operations across the pond — giving US DOTs a clear view of what’s achievable today.
Esri IMGIS User Conference, October 27-30, 2025 (CA)
At the Esri IMGIS User Conference in Palm Springs California, our focus was on showing how Pointerra3D powers utility data readiness and smart workflows within Esri-centric environments. Across conversations with GIS leaders, utility teams, and infrastructure planners, it was clear that organizations are increasingly looking for ways to bring massive 3D reality datasets into their Esri workflows without compromising speed, accessibility, or accuracy.
Pointerra3D demonstrated how our platform enhances Esri investments by delivering:
- Processing that is data-agnostic, lightning fast, and tightly integrated with Esri tools.
- Management through a cloud-native common data environment that enables secure browser-based access and seamless collaboration across teams and contractors.
- Workflows that support living digital twins, remote inspections, automated reporting, and other high-value operational use cases.
Attendees were impressed with how Pointerra3D complements and strengthens Esri ecosystems by making high-volume 3D data instantly usable, shareable, and operational. The result is smarter GIS workflows, better decision-making, and a more connected understanding of the network.

Closing out 2025 strong - ready to tackle industry challenges head on
Across every stop on the Pointerra US Roadshow, one theme became unmistakably clear: whether in utilities, transportation, mapping, drones, or GIS, organizations are searching for faster, smarter, and more connected ways to work with their growing volumes of 3D and reality-capture data.
These conferences gave us the opportunity not only to demonstrate the power of Pointerra3D, but also to listen — to the challenges, ambitions, and emerging priorities of the industries we serve. From grid resilience and vegetation management to transportation modernization and drone-based inspection, the conversations were united by a shared need for platforms that reduce complexity, eliminate silos, and unlock operational insight at speed.
We’re energized by the feedback, inspired by the work happening across the US, and committed to continuing these conversations as we help organizations move from data collection to data readiness — and from static datasets to living digital twins.
Thank you to everyone who connected with us along the roadshow. We look forward to seeing you at the next event and continuing to shape the future of how reality data powers smarter decisions.
